My Story

Why Marketplace Messenger Exists
A Journey
I Never Expected
Sometimes, the individuals we are called to help end up transforming us in unexpected ways.
While walking alongside my sister after she was diagnosed with Paranoid Schizophrenia, I thought my role was simply to help her live her best life.
Instead, I discovered parts of myself that I had never truly faced, my impatience, my need for control, my frustration, and even hidden guilt and shame.
My sister's journey became the catalyst for my own journey. I discovered my sister's story was not unique. - Many people struggle with their God given identity, why they are here or how to move forward.

Love

yourself
Learning to Love Differently
Over time, my arms length love gave way to empathy and compassion.
I stopped seeing my sister as a problem to solve and began seeing her simply as my sister a person worthy of love, dignity, patience, and acceptance exactly where she was.
She taught me that real love doesn't demand perfection. It chooses understanding, listens without judgment, and shows up one day at a time.
Through her, I began to understand the true meaning of:

Discovering a Bigger Problem
As I learned more about mental health, I realized my sister's story wasn't unique.
Millions of people quietly struggle with purpose anxiety the overwhelming feeling of not Questions about who they really are, their God given identity, why they're here, or how to move forward.
Purpose anxiety often brings fatigue, frustration, insecurity, stress, depression, and a loss of motivation. It affects students, young adults, career changers, parents, church members, and people navigating life's major transitions.
Too often, these individuals feel misunderstood, isolated, or forgotten.

We Are More Connected Than We Realize
Many spiritual traditions remind us that we are all connected.
If that is true, those experiencing purpose anxiety are not separate from us they are apart of us.
They are our mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, children, neighbors, coworkers, and friends.
When we distance ourselves because of fear or misunderstanding, we don't just isolate them we diminish our own humanity.
Their stories invite us to grow in compassion, empathy, and love.
